Actor 3D Scanning – Full Body, Facial, and RGB Capture

Overview

We offer professional-grade 3D scanning for actors, performers, and digital talent. From full-body photogrammetry to high-resolution facial capture, our systems are designed for film, gaming, digital doubles, virtual fashion, and advanced VFX pipelines. All scans are performed in our Montreal studio, located in the Plateau Mont-Royal, using custom-built rigs and proprietary multi-camera software for fast, accurate, and repeatable results.

Full-Body 3D Scanning

200-camera DSLR photogrammetry rig designed for cinematic-quality digital doubles. Captures highly detailed 3D models suitable for AAA games, films, commercials, and experimental media.

Lighting Modes:
• Neutral Light (flat bounce) – clean, consistent for traditional asset pipelines
• Projected Scene Mode – for stylized or artistic capture with projected textures

Capture Features:
• Dynamic motion support (jumping, dancing)
• Burst mode for blendshapes, ROM, or expressive poses
• OLAT, ROM, and cross-polarized modes available
• Near-instant preview frames
• Base delivery: RAW (CR2)
• Optional outputs: OBJ, FBX, Gaussian Splat format (3DGS)

Head Scan & FACS (Facial Action Coding System)

110-DSLR close-range head rig for high-resolution facial 3D scanning. Captures multiple expressions for use in blendshape generation and realistic facial animation.

FACS Capture Details:
• 4 to 60 expressions per session
• RGB lighting + OLAT lighting variations
• Approx. 2 minutes per capture
• Short flash duration allows for expressive performance without stillness
• Real-time preview after each shot

Lighting:
• 600px RGB LED scene lighting
• Bounced strobe + OLAT lighting options

RGB 3D Scanning for Volumetric Integration

We offer full-color 3D scans optimized for volumetric and image-based workflows, including Gaussian Splatting and hybrid pipelines.

• Seamless integration into image-based rendering environments
• No need for rigid stillness – flash timing allows natural capture
• Ideal for digital humans, immersive media, and visual research
