Real athletes. Real moments. Extraordinary perspectives.

Gaussian splat capture for elite sport

An explosive start. A perfectly timed jump. A split-second change of direction. Some of sport's most compelling moments deserve more than a single camera angle. XangleStudio uses synchronized arrays of 12 to 200 cameras to capture athletes in motion, from controlled studio environments to real stadiums. Using Gaussian splatting, these recordings become lifelike 3D representations of the captured scene, opening new ways to explore, edit, and present the action.

Tennis: capture the moment. Reimagine the viewpoint.

Rather than watching from a fixed camera position, move the viewpoint through the reconstructed scene. Explore a gesture from an unexpected angle, reveal the space around the athlete, or build a camera move that would be difficult or impossible to film conventionally.

These two tennis demos offer a look at how spatial capture can bring a new perspective to the action.

Boxing: a new angle on the action

A punch, a defensive movement, a shift in balance. Boxing is full of split-second moments that take on a different dimension when you can explore them in 3D.

The athlete's performance remains at the heart of the image. The perspective becomes part of the storytelling, drawing attention to movement, timing, and the space around the action.

Skateboarding: a new dimension for sports storytelling

Take an unexpected look at the relationship between the athlete, the board, and the surrounding space.

Once reconstructed, the scene becomes a spatial foundation for creative production. Explore alternative viewpoints, develop virtual camera moves, and augment the captured action with graphics, visual effects, or contextual information.

Create athlete portraits with depth. Give campaign films an unexpected perspective. Build immersive sequences that let audiences discover a sporting moment beyond the original camera angles.

From controlled shoots to stadium-scale capture

Every sport, venue, and creative concept calls for a different setup. We design camera arrays ranging from 12 to 200 cameras around the action, the available space, and the perspectives you want to reveal.

In controlled environments, capture setups can be tailored around individual athletes, specific movements, lighting, and branded creative concepts.

In stadiums and sporting venues, arrays can be configured around a defined area of play, bringing spatial capture into the setting where the performance happens.

Camera placement and coverage shape what can be reconstructed and how far the final viewpoint can move. We plan those possibilities into the capture from the start.
